This sold out event is set to be the breakout event of the season.  Created by Sonya Lowery, Chief Adventure Officer of World Next Door (www.WorldNextDoorTV.com), Forest of Fury takes place at dusk at the Adventure Park in Sandy Spring.  More than 250 people will receive headlamps and harnesses and will play in the treetops amid 5 Acres of Quaker land.

“This event is not a race. The only person you’ll challenge is yourself with more than 150 platforms installed in the trees and connected by various configurations of cable, wood and rope.  This will be a night to remember” says Lowery.

I loved just about everything about my visit (well, everything but the bugs) – and although I have added a check next to this destination on the ole’ bucket list – I definitely hope to return one day with a longer list and stronger bug repellent.

This year, however, I wanted to break out of my normal routine and try something that would normally never cross my mind, and I wanted to bring friends along who would have this experience with me.

I have to tell you – Railey Mountain Lake Vacations made all of my concerns go away – they took care of everything. I told them the size of my group of friends and they helped me to choose a home that best fit our needs. What’s more, they helped us get our “play in the snow” packages from WISP – the local adventure park… Where we took skiing lessons, and went tubing, snowmobiling and more. They knew what we needed and took care of the all the details.

Now, winter isn’t such an afterthought. And I’m looking forward to the next one.
